The engorged bloodwood tree is a variant of the bloodwood trees native to Vampyrium. Like the standard bloodwood trees, chopping it requires completion of The Blood Moon Rises, 77 Woodcutting and an empty bucket, yielding bloodwood sap which can be used to upgrade arrows into seeking arrows.
An aranei bucket dealer standing near the tree will supply buckets free of charge via their "Take" or "Take-many" options.
Compared to the standard bloodwood trees, the engorged bloodwood tree requires far less input to chop, but at a considerably reduced rates of sap and experience.
This tree does not spawn Forestry events, nor is there an invisible Woodcutting boost when chopping the tree with other players.

Strategy
In order to begin, an empty bucket must be in the player's inventory. These can be obtained for free from the aranei bucket dealer nearby. It is also advisable for players to bring:
- A high tier axe
- A log basket filled with high-tier logs and a knife or fletching knife to create seeking arrow shafts to reduce banking trips
- A Drakan's medallion and/or other equippable teleport for faster banking (Alternatively, players can bank using the nearby Aranei scout)
- Lumberjack outfit and/or Forester's ration (if using a felling axe) for higher experience rates
Harvesting from the tree is divided into two phases:
Chopping/Bleeding
The process starts by beginning to chop the tree. Unlike Bloodwood trees and much like a standard tree, chopping the engorged trees only requires one click. Once a player has begun chopping, a red progress bar appears above the tree which fills as the tree is chopped. The bar will fill slowly over time as long as the player is actively chopping the tree. Progress is not reset when the player leaves . Bonus progress is awarded for successful chops. Successful chops are rolled every 4 ticks and yield 165 Woodcutting XP each. Higher tier axes give better success chances for these chops. Due to this mechanic, the exact AFK time for this phase may vary. A crystal axe can fully bleed the tree in ~110 seconds on average, while a dragon axe takes ~118 seconds on average . Unlike regular Bloodwood trees, felling axes do not make a difference to woodcutting rates.
Once the progress bar is full, the tree is fully bleeding and is ready for harvesting.
Harvesting/Draining
To harvest the bloodwood sap, the player needs to click the tree and wait for 45 seconds for their character to drain the sap into a bucket. No experience is awarded for harvesting the sap. Progress is indicated by the tree's red progress bar depleting. After the bucket is filled with bloodwood sap, there is a chance for the player to additionally receive a letvek in a bucket in a separate bucket, which must be released by clicking on it before the tree can be chopped again.
Rewards
Approximately 21.8 buckets of bloodwood sap can be obtained per hour, down from the ~95 of the standard bloodwood trees. Experience rates of ~65-70k XP/hour are possible, down from the ~210k XP/hour of the standard bloodwood trees. While using a felling axe, forester's rations are consumed with every XP drop, increasing the XP gained by 10%. This effect stacks with the lumberjack outfit's 2.5% bonus XP.
