Impaler deer can be found through the forests of Vampyrium. Its attacks push the target back 1 tile, even if the initial attack deals 0 damage (due to Protect from Melee or a missed accuracy roll).

Impaler deer cannot push a player into an unwalkable tile (such as a tree or other blocked tile). If a valid tile is not available behind the target, the attack instead triggers an additional guaranteed damage hit. When this occurs, the chatbox displays the message You painfully hit the obstruction behind you.. This secondary hit cannot be avoided with overhead prayers, does not miss, and consistently deals 7–9 damage. It creates a second hitsplat that happens simultaneously as the hitsplat of the main attack.
