Dragon metal sheets are an item used in high-level shipbuilding, with some of the best facilities on a boat requiring multiple sheets to build.

With access to the dragon forge upon completion of Dragon Slayer II, players can make dragon keel parts for dragon keels as well as dragon nails (15 per sheet). Two sheets are used to make one keel part, while two keel parts are used to make one set of large dragon keel parts (requiring 4 sheets in total). As such, a total of 20 sheets are required for a dragon keel on a skiff, and 64 sheets for a sloop.

Completion of the Pandemonium quest is also required to be able to use sheets at the forge. Attempting to make something with a dragon metal sheet without having completed the quest displays the chatbox message "You probably shouldn't just go messing around with the dragon sheets without knowing what you're doing."

The best sources for these sheets are killing lava strykewyrms or frost dragons on task, however these can be quite tedious to obtain, especially if the player does not have enough slayer points to skip for them. A slower but more consistent method is completing bounty tasks for great white sharks, orcas, and high-levelled krakens (preferably armoured krakens), as one bounty task for each of these monsters are guaranteed at various notice boards across Gielinor.

Note: Drop rates are increased when killing frost dragons or lava strykewyrms on a slayer task, or the above sea creatures while completing a Sailing bounty.
