Opulent salvage is an item recovered from merchant shipwrecks via shipwreck salvaging. Level 87 Sailing is required to salvage these, granting 200 experience if a player is using the salvaging hook.
Crewmates commanded to salvage earn a reduced rate at a percentage dependent on the crew's deckhandiness.
When sorted at a salvaging station (or the boat facility), players will additionally receive 95 Sailing experience and loot.
As with all salvage, opulent salvage can be stored in your ship's Cargo hold.

Trivia
- For a few weeks after its release, whenever "nothing" was rolled on the gem drop table, salvage sorting would be interrupted and a failsafe message You do not have a high enough Sailing level to sort through any more salvage. would be displayed. To fix this, the "nothing" drop was replaced by one coin.
