A rusty locket is a relic that is obtained at a rate of 1/3,000 whilst sorting small salvage.

It can be handed to Curator Haig Halen at the Varrock Museum, with the first hand-in offering 1 Kudos, and an antique lamp which offers 5,000 XP in any skill at level 30 or above. Subsequent hand-ins will offer 5,000 coins instead.

When initially given to Curator Haig Halen, he will note that there is an inscription on the back which reads "There is an empire of darkness where hope flickers and dies."

• The inscription on the item is identical to a line spoken to the player while in the Shadow Realm at the Lassar Undercity during Desert Treasure II - The Fallen Empire.
