Kurask are Slayer monsters that require a Slayer level of 70 to kill. Like turoth, they can only be damaged with leaf-bladed weapons, broad ammunition, or the Magic Dart spell due to their tough hides;^[1] they are immune to any other types of attacks. They are, however, susceptible to burn damage from weapons such as burning claws.

Kurask are relatively inaccurate, but they can hit somewhat high if their attacks manage to land. Additionally, they have fast health regeneration, healing one hitpoint every five game ticks. Due to their relative inaccuracy, they can be fought without protection prayers by using Bones to Peaches for healing, though players may wish to activate Protect from Melee if the superior version, the king kurask, spawns.

Although kurask are invulnerable to any damage from the special attacks of Saradomin godsword, ancient godsword, and toxic blowpipe, their healing effects will still activate as if damage had been dealt, making them useful as special attack weapons during extended trips. Likewise, the special attacks of ancient mace and eldritch nightmare staff will restore prayer points based on what damage would have been dealt. The set effect of Guthan's equipment will not activate against kurask, however.

Kurask have a relatively small aggressive range of 2, with the centre at their south-west tile. As they are 3x3 monsters, they will only attack you from their north-east side if they walk under your true tile.

Kurask drop the leaf-bladed sword. They are also known for their light mystic robe top and kurask head drops, as well as being the only monster (including their superior version) to drop the leaf-bladed battleaxe.
