Sulphur nagua are slayer monsters that require level 48 Slayer to kill. They are found in the Ancient Prison within Neypotzli, accessed from the south-west entrance of the antechamber. Partial completion of Perilous Moons is required for access.
Their attacks are unique in that they hit twice per attack, rolling damage normally and splitting it in two hitsplats. After five attacks they will use a special attack in which they raise their weapon, and if the player remains within their melee range (including diagonal spaces) after three ticks, they will have 5 prayer points drained.
They are spectral creatures but not undead, meaning the Ectoplasmator will provide prayer experience for defeating them, but the Salve amulet and its variants will not affect them.
Sulphur nagua have -4 flat armour, so all successful hits will do an extra 4 damage to them. This incentivizes using faster weapons or multi-hit weapons.
A common strategy for replenishing prayer points while killing sulphur nagua is to create moonlight potions, which also boost melee combat stats. Alternatively, players with level 75 Hunter may choose to catch moonlight moths with a butterfly net (or barehanded with 85) to replenish prayer points, however due to their lack of additional boosting effects - along with catching one interfering with the player's attacks - relying solely on them is not recommended.
The respawn locations of each sulphur nagua are indicated by a sun icon on the floor. This can be an easy way to ensure players are standing in a spot where several of them will be aggressive towards the player.
It is possible to safespot sulphur nagua by hiding behind the cooking stove, although the presence of free supplies within Neypotzli will likely render this unnecessary.
Another location to safespot sulphur naga is by luring one towards the hallway with the entrance while having Protect from Melee active, then getting it stuck on the rubble along the east wall of the hallway, attacking with a ranged weapon will move your character, but you will not be within the attack range of the naga this way.
