A player triggers the Eclipse set effect.

Eclipse moon armour is a set of ranged equipment that requires level 75 Ranged and 50 Defence to equip, which is obtained as a possible reward from the Lunar Chest in Neypotzli.

It has similar defensive stats to steel armour, but with higher crush and magic defence.

Set effect

Eclipse: Successful attacks with the eclipse atlatl gives a 20% chance to inflict a burn on any non-immune target.

While burning, the target takes 10 burn damage over the course of 40 ticks or 24 seconds (Seen as 1 damage every 4 ticks or 2.4 seconds).

Each burn has an individual duration and up to five burns can be applied to a target at a time. At maximum stacks, existing burns must expire before a new burn can be applied.

On average, this results in targets taking roughly 2 burn damage per successful hit of the weapon, which amounts to approximately 1.11 extra damage per second on rapid if every attack was assumed to hit. However because burn deals damage over time, damage is lost if the burn is cleared or the target dies.

It is possible for the set effect to activate even if one or more of the armour pieces are broken.

Repair

Eclipse moon armour degrades, being usable for 45 hours of continuous combat until it breaks, after which it must be repaired, similar to other Moon equipment.

Having an NPC such as Bob and Dunstan repair a fully broken armour piece costs 1,500,000 coins each, while repairing a piece yourself at an armour stand adds a discount of 7,500 coins per Smithing level, reducing the price to 757,500 coins at level 99. Boosting to level 104 by using an orange stew, the price is reduced to 720,000 coins. Repairing all 3 pieces of the set will cost 4,500,000 coins with an NPC down to 2,160,000 coins with boosting at an armour stand.

For some pieces, it may be cheaper to simply buy another than it is to repair.
