Ava's assembler is the upgraded version of Ava's accumulator that requires level 70 Ranged to equip. The assembler gives the second best Ranged attack bonus for the cape slot and is one of the few cape slot items that provides a Ranged Strength bonus. To obtain the assembler, players must take 75 mithril arrows, Ava's accumulator (or 4,999 coins), and Vorkath's head (which can only be obtained by killing Vorkath after completion of Dragon Slayer II) to Ava in Draynor Manor.

Like all of Ava's devices, the assembler does not work when metal torso armour is worn, as this will cause 'interference'; this includes most melee armour as well as Ahrim's robetop. A list of metal torso armour that does not interfere with Ava's assembler can be found here.

Similar to its predecessors, it can randomly gather mithril ranged equipment. It also has an 80% chance of saving ammunition compared to the accumulator's 72%. As the remaining 20% chance is for the ammunition breaking, the assembler will never drop any ammo on the ground.

The appearance of the assembler can be ornamented using a Masori crafting kit to match that of the Masori armour. It is solely a cosmetic upgrade and does not change its stats.

Metal attraction

Approximately every 3.5 minutes, Ava's assembler will attract an assortment of mithril items, provided that the player has moved at least three tiles since the last pickup.^[1]

Players can commune with the assembler to stop it from gathering junk by right-clicking "Commune" on the item while it is worn or in the inventory. The average GE value of these items is 7.57.

Cost saving benefits

The ammo retention of the assembler results in each ammunition being fired roughly 5 times before it is destroyed. This means it is approximately five times cheaper than the price paid. Comparatively, Ava's accumulator's 72% ammo retention rate fires ammo 3.57 times per ammunition (assuming it is not picked up from the ground), though picking it up would make it match the assembler's rate.

This makes Ava's assembler times as efficient as Ava's accumulator when not picking up arrows.

Death and upgrading

If the player dies to a PvP death (whether in a PvP world or any level of the Wilderness) and the Ava's assembler is not one of the player's protected items, it will remain in the player's inventory, but will become broken. The item will be unusable and requiring 240,000 coins to repair by using the item on Perdu.

Players can use the assembler on Lanthus to have improved ammunition collection capabilities within the Castle Wars minigame. The assembler can also be used on Nomad for the Soul Wars minigame.

The Ava's assembler can be combined with the max cape to change its appearance by turning it into the assembler max cape. Turning the Ava's assembler into an assembler max cape is one way for ultimate ironmen to store one, as it counts as a max cape on the cape rack. Alternatively, ultimate ironmen can combine Vorkath's head with a ranging cape giving them a storable cape with the effect of the Ava's assembler.
