Jellies can be assigned as a Slayer task at level 52 Slayer and level 57 combat by various medium-level Slayer masters. They are found in the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon. They are popular to kill similarly to hellhounds due to their high drop rate of hard clue scrolls. While fairly weak, jellies have an unusually high Defence level compared to other similar monsters around their level.

It is not recommended to kill normal jellies in most circumstances as they have a fairly poor drop table and are very far from a bank.

Two stronger variants of jellies can be found on Zeah; the Warped Jelly in the Catacombs of Kourend, and the Chilled jelly in the Ruins of Tapoyauik/Grimstone Dungeon.

Warped jellies are in a Multicombat area and are popular for barrage tasks, along with having a better drop table and the Catacombs table. Chilled jellies are in a single combat area and require completion of The Heart of Darkness or level 87 Sailing; they have the exact same table as warped jellies (except without the Catacombs table and including frozen tear and moon tooth half drops if fought in the Ruins of Tapoyauik), but have a 50% susceptibility to fire spells. Despite their higher Magic level, they are still easy to hit with magic.

Players who are assigned jellies by Krystilia can kill them in the Wilderness Slayer Cave, where nine jellies can be found in a multicombat area. As this location is in the Wilderness, players should be mindful of the risk they bring and not bring items they are unwilling to lose, as the cave is a popular player killing hotspot. There is only one entrance to the jellies and they are below level 30 Wilderness, so players can easily escape with a one-click teleport such as a royal seed pod if any player killers arrive.

Equipment

Melee is the simplest and lowest requirement style for effectively killing jellies. Using Protect from Melee will negate all damage taken. Their attacks are magic-based melee, so if you're not praying against their attacks, you'll need to wear armour that is resistant to magical attacks. Wearing armour with high magic defence (such as Karil's armour or black dragonhide armour) will suffice. Higher combat level players may find a small amount of food to suffice for fighting regular jellies (not Warped jellies) instead of using prayer.

The Ring of wealth may be considered as coins are a common drop, though a combat-boosting ring such as a berserker ring may be preferable for more experienced players.

Jellies may be killed with Magic for the fastest possible kills in multicombat areas (particularly within the Catacombs of Kourend), by using multi-target Ancient Magicks such as Ice Burst or Ice Barrage. Using Protect from Melee to mitigate all damage taken is highly recommended.

Knives or Darts (preferably the cheapest available, such as Bronze or Iron) are recommended for quickly tagging non-aggressive monsters to stack for multi-target spells. The Dinh's bulwark, especially in combination with a Lightbearer, can be used in addition to darts/knives to quickly tag many monsters even faster.
