The black mask (i) is an upgraded version of the black mask. It requires 20 Strength, 10 Defence, and 40 Combat to equip. It can be imbued as a reward from the Nightmare Zone, costing 1,250,000 reward points or 625,000 with the hard tier of Combat Achievements, at Soul Wars for 500 Zeal Tokens, or by using a scroll of imbuing purchased from the Emir's Arena. The imbued black mask can also be used to create an imbued Slayer helmet.

This version of the black mask provides the original bonus:

16.67%^[1] bonus to Melee accuracy and Strength on Slayer targets.

Plus the addition of:

15% bonus to Ranged accuracy and Strength.
15% bonus to Magic accuracy and Magic damage.
Getting rid of the -3 Magic and -1 Ranged attack penalties from the regular black mask.

If lost on death in PvP situations, the mask will lose its imbued status, but the player will be reimbursed the Nightmare Zone points, Zeal Tokens or Scroll of imbuing to imbue it again.

When this item is imbued at Nightmare Zone and subsequently uncharged, it will refund 100% of the cost. 1,250,000 reward points by default and 625,000 when the hard tier of Combat Achievements are complete.
