Bones are acquired in the Soul Wars minigame as drops from enemy players. They look just like normal bones, but have a different examine text and a destroy option instead of drop.

The bones are buried at a graveyard to increase the percentage of their Avatar's damage reduction. If the bones are buried in a graveyard in which the team that does not have control over, it will only be worth one-third of the contribution. Players can also give the bones to a teammate by using it on them, providing the teammate has turned on Accept Aid.

Players that die in Soul Wars will drop one set of bones, plus all of the bones and soul fragments in their inventory.

When a game of Soul Wars ends, all gameplay items obtained are removed.

Burying the bones does not grant Prayer experience.
