Galvek Speed-Trialist is an elite combat achievement which requires the player to kill Galvek in less than 3 minutes. The fight can be attempted at the Pool of Dreams to the east on the Myths' Guild's ground floor.

The player must deal 1200 damage to Galvek in 300 ticks, or 49 possible Dragon hunter crossbow (Rapid) attacks averaging 24.48 damage per attack.

The recommended strategy is to use a dragon crossbow (or better) with ruby dragon bolts (e), and a strong special attack weapon, such as a zaryte crossbow, voidwaker, or burning claws. As Galvek's defence resets between phases, defence reduction is generally less effective here. For players with weaker range equipment, using a strong melee weapon such as Osmumten's fang or a Dragon hunter lance for Galvek's final phase might be more effective.

For highest odds of successful completion, start the Galvek fight and instantly start clicking on where his character will spawn during the dark transition screen. If the ruby bolts do not activate their special effect on the first attack, teleport back to the Myths' Guild with the mythical cape and restart. When the ruby bolt special is activated on the first attack, prepare for an attempt at the goal time. Use any special attacks immediately, and continue to range Galvek.

• Food such as Guthix rests or Saradomin brews will avoid losing ticks
• As Saradomin brew and Galvek both drain combat stats, Menaphite remedy is strongly recommended to passively restore stats.
• A Surge potion for an extra special attack

For Ultimate Ironmen attempting this Combat Achievement, the fight against Galvek via Pool of Dreams in Myths' Guild is considered safe so excess items can be stored in death bank safely during this encounter.
