A ranger hat is a piece of headgear available as a reward from Barbarian Assault. It resembles the head of a Penance Ranger.

Equipping the hat requires level 45 Defence. Players who have killed the Penance Queen and have 275 honour points in all four roles can purchase a Ranger hat from Commander Connad, who is located on the ground floor of the Barbarian Outpost. In terms of Ranged attack bonus, it has 2 more than a Snakeskin bandana, the same as a Spined helm, and 2 less than a Robin Hood hat.

If the player dies a PvP death and the item is unprotected, it will remain in the player's inventory; however, the item will be in a broken, unusable state and must be repaired by using it on Perdu and paying him 45,000 coins.

This item can be stored in the armour case of a costume room.
