Penance caves are spawn points for penance creatures in the Barbarian Assault minigame. There are four of them in total on the northern wall of the arena. Penance Rangers and Penance Fighters spawn from the western caves, while Penance Runners and Penance Healers spawn from the eastern caves. On wave 10, the spawn positions for the runners and healers is swapped.

A player with the defender role can use logs and a hammer to block the caves with a barricade. Penance creatures will not spawn from a blocked cave. Any player can demolish the barricade.
