The obsidian cape (r) is obtained as a possible reward from master Treasure Trails. According to the treasure chest interface, the (r) stands for "red".

Aside from appearance, it is no different from an obsidian cape. This item does not work in replacement to the obsidian cape required for the master clue emote step on Zul-Andra.

This item can be stored in the treasure chest of a costume room, provided that the interface of the corresponding clue tier is opened before attempting to store the item. Alternatively, the item can be used on the opened treasure chest to insert it without viewing the interface.
