Ornament kit | OSRS Index

Ornament kits are items that are used on certain items to change their appearance. This also makes the item untradeable, unless the ornament kit is removed.

Some are obtainable by completing beginner, hard, elite or master tier Treasure Trails, but unlike most unique Treasure Trail items, these kits and some of the ornamented items are not storable at a Player-owned house. Note 1 in the table below indicates storable items.

Some ornament kits allow the player to revert their ornamented item and retain the kit, such as those obtained from a Treasure Trail. Others do not, causing the kit to be lost, such as the kits purchased from Justine's stuff for the Last Shopper Standing.

Items with a tradeable ornament kit applied will be protected upon death outside of the Wilderness (and PvP worlds) in addition to the standard 3 items kept on death, assuming they are not valuable enough to be part of the standard 3 items.

Visually, most ornament kit items appear as a box with the item they are ornamenting pictured on the box lid, next to various materials that would presumably be useful in applying the ornament, such as rolls of coloured foil or spiked attachments.
