Kbd heads are a rare drop from the King Black Dragon. It can be stuffed at the Taxidermist in Canifis by using the item on her and paying 50,000 coins, returning a stuffed kbd heads. When players take it to the her, she will tell players "Three?! This must be a King Black Dragon! I'll have to get out my heavy duty tools -- this skin's as tough as iron!"

Once stuffed, it can be mounted at a gilded display within the skill hall in a player-owned house, granting 223 Construction alongside 200 Attack, Strength, Defence, Magic, and Ranged experience, with players being given the option to decline the combat experience before mounting the heads.

Alternatively, the head can be sacrificed to the Dark Altar north of Arceuus, granting 2,500 Prayer experience. However, players with level 90 Magic can instead opt to use a knife on the heads to obtain three ensouled dragon heads, which will give a total of 4,680 Prayer experience by casting Master Reanimation on each of the heads.

The head can also be combined with a slayer helmet (or imbued) to create a black slayer helmet; doing so requires purchasing the ability King Black Bonnet for 1,000 Slayer reward points. After claiming the hard tier rewards from the Combat Achievements system, the heads can additionally be combined with the dragon hunter crossbow to create a black variant.
