An abyssal head is a rare drop from abyssal demons, requiring 85 Slayer to kill. Players may also obtain an abyssal head by placing an unsired at the Font of Consumption; this has a 5/64 chance, and as an unsired is a 1/100 drop, this effectively makes it a 1/1,280 drop per Abyssal Sire kill.

Abyssal heads can be stuffed at the Taxidermist in Canifis by using the item on her and paying 12,000 coins, returning a stuffed abyssal head. When players take it to her, she will tell players "Goodness, an abyssal demon! See how it's still glowing? I'll have to use some magic to preserve that."

Once stuffed, it can be mounted at a mahogany or gilded display within the skill hall in a player-owned house, granting 109 Construction and 889 Slayer experience. Alternatively, the head can be sacrificed to the Dark Altar north of Arceuus, granting 2,500 Prayer experience.

Lastly, the head can be combined with a slayer helmet or slayer helmet (i) to create a red slayer helmet or red slayer helmet (i), respectively. Doing so requires purchasing the ability Unholy Helmet for 1,000 Slayer reward points.
