Mounted King Black Dragon heads are a superlative trophy made by adding stuffed kbd heads to a gilded display within the skill hall in a player-owned house. When added to a display (which requires being in building mode), the player is given 223 Construction alongside 200 Attack, Strength, Defence, Magic, and Ranged experience; players are given the option to accept or decline the combat experience before mounting the heads.

Mounted trophies are saved per account, and are shared between all other trophy displays in a house. Duplicate heads can be added for additional experience, provided that the player has stuffed them and are in building mode; however they cannot be removed to retrieve the stuffed head.

As stuffing services are exclusive to the Taxidermist in Canifis, mounting trophies require completion of Priest in Peril.

Trophy displays has been reworked:

  • Tiered displays can be built to attach stuffed trophies to, rather than needing the corresponding stuffed item before building one.
  • The trophies added are now saved per account and are also shared between additional trophy displays built, meaning they are not lost when the display is removed.
  • Trophies built before this update have been converted to the corresponding displays.

Trivia

  • Although the actual King Black Dragon head is a scenery object, three NPC versions exist that are used to generate the chatheads in the dialogue box. Prior to 26 February 2025, this NPC took on the appearance of a cat.
