Suqah can be a good Slayer task, due to the relatively high amount of experience per hour that can be gained from killing them with the help of a dwarf multicannon. However, the use of a dwarf multicannon and toxic blowpipe will also result in a loss of coins due to their lack of valuable drops.

If using the northern area on Lunar Isle, players should pray Protect from Magic and wear armour with high Melee defence, as these Suqah attack with both a melee attack and a magic attack.

Players wishing to avoid the magic damage should fight the suqah on the southern part of the island, such as near the Astral Altar, as these attack with only melee. There are also three melee-only suqah on the south-west part of the island, over the bridge (abutting the city wall); specifically, a cannon can be placed directly north-west of the dead tree to target the melee-only suqah while avoiding the single mage-dealing suqah in the vicinity.

Equipment

It is possible to cannon and safespot suqahs on the northern part of Lunar isle. They can be safespotted by standing next to the hill and hitting them with ranged (as pictured below).

  1. ^ Amethyst darts are recommended as the majority of the ammunition cost is scales.
  2. ^ Amethyst arrows cost more than rune but are slightly stronger.

Safespots

Method 1: Bridge on Southern Lunar Isle

Picture Guide: Suqah safespot in southern Lunar Isle

Notes:

  • It's definitely worth considering adding this task to your slayer block list due to their poor drops and relatively slow kill time. Although it is an easy spot if you're just looking to AFK and don't mind using up runes/ammo.
  • When standing on the safe tile if you move 1 step north it will cause the south-eastern Suqah to reset.
  • When standing on the safe tile if you move 1 step south it will cause the northern Suqah to reset.
  • It can actually be quite useful as if their positioning is bad and they come onto the bridge you only have to move 1 tile and they'll walk away enabling them to get stuck again.
  • You can also get them stuck on the surrounding trees and other objects quite easily as they're 2x2 tiles in size and only attack with melee here.
  • It might be worth grabbing 5 Suqah tooth while you're here for protecting Spirit Tree Patch's.

Method 2: Northern Lunar Isle

Notes:

  • Suqah's in the northern part of Lunar Isle can also attack using magic.
  • Due to poor drops you will loose gp if cannoning.
