Blood moon armour

Blood moon armour is a set of melee equipment which requires level 75 Strength and 50 Defence to equip, which is obtained as a possible reward from the Lunar Chest in Neypotzli.

The chest and legs have the same strength bonus as Bandos armour, making it very popular for mid-level players due to its cheap cost and accessibility. The defensive bonuses are much weaker than those of Bandos armour, except its slash defence (which is only slightly lower) and magic defence, which is significantly higher. It is also much lower in weight.

Bloodrager: The dual macuahuitl has a 33% chance upon a successful hit to attack one tick earlier than usual, allowing the player to attack again after 3 ticks. Both hits count towards this independently^[1], meaning there is a 5/9 (56%) chance to trigger the effect if both hits are successful. 70 Attack and 75 Strength are required to equip this two-handed weapon.

It is possible for the set effect to activate even if one or more of the armour pieces are broken.

Blood moon armour degrades, usable for 45 hours of continuous combat until it breaks, after which it must be repaired, similar to other Moon equipment.

Having an NPC such as Bob and Dunstan repair a fully broken armour piece costs 1,500,000 coins each, while repairing a piece yourself at an armour stand adds a discount of 7,500 coins per Smithing level, reducing the price to 757,500 coins at level 99. Boosting to level 104 by using an orange stew, the price is reduced to 720,000 coins. Repairing all 3 pieces of the set will cost 4,500,000 coins with an NPC, down to 2,160,000 coins with boosting at an armour stand.

For some pieces, it may be cheaper to simply buy another than it is to repair. Note the low trade volume of broken pieces.
