Lesser Nagua are a potential Slayer assignment rarely assigned by Konar quo Maten or Chaeldar after completion of Perilous Moons.

Players have three options when assigned Lesser Nagua, depending on their quest completion:

• Players who have completed Perilous Moons can be assigned to kill Nagua at Neypotzli, where Sulphur Nagua can be found.
• Players who have completed The Heart of Darkness can be assigned to kill Nagua at the Ruins of Tapoyauik, where Frost Nagua and Amoxliatl can be found.
• Players who have completed The Final Dawn can also be assigned to kill Nagua at the Crypt of Tonali, where Earthen Nagua can be found.

Nagua are very popular for mid-level players for AFK combat, especially at Neypotzli where supplies are basically free as food is plentiful within and both prayer and combat potions are filled by moonlight potions, which act as a super combat, divine super defence, and prayer potion.

Sulphur Nagua have a special attack used every 5 auto-attacks that drains 5 prayer points if not avoided, though it is generally ignored given the amount of free supplies that can be found in the prison.

Frost Nagua will periodically mark the tile the player is on, which drains prayer if not avoided. There are four Moonlight Moths available at each of the four corners of the frozen platform. Players with 75 hunter along with a Butterfly Net (85 for barehanded) and optionally a Butterfly Jar can catch and use them to restore 22 prayer points.

Earthen Nagua have a unique mechanic in which they will add armour onto themselves upon reaching 60% or less hitpoints, shuffling their melee defence; they become slightly more resistant to stab and slash attacks, but are much weaker to crush attacks.

All Lesser Nagua make use of flat armour, which increases/decreases damage dealt to them. Fortunately for Lesser Nagua, they have negative flat armour, so attacks will deal more damage to them. This means that weapons that make multiple hitsplats are generally more effective, such as the Dual Macuahuitl. Sulphur, Frost, and Earthen Nagua all have -4 flat armour, while Amoxliatl has -2 flat armour.

Alternatively, those assigned Nagua at the Ruins of Tapoyauik may kill Amoxliatl, a boss variant of the frost Nagua. She has better drops compared to frost Nagua.
