The reward cart is a cart of "magical mystery rewards" found just outside the Wintertodt Camp bank. After earning at least 500 points during the fight against the Wintertodt, players are able to search the cart for rewards. It can reward many useful items for skilling such as ores, logs, herbs, seeds, gems, and fish. Searching the cart also gives the opportunity for items only obtainable through defeating the Wintertodt, such as the tome of fire, pyromancer outfit, and the phoenix pet.
Rewards are collected from the reward cart at a rate of 1 reward for every 3 ticks (1.8 seconds). Players can also collect their rewards in batches of 5 per click with the "Big-search" option. The reward cart can hold a maximum of 8,000 rewards.
Players can exchange excess Wintertodt-unique items (excluding burnt pages and the phoenix) with Ignisia for an extra supply crate or 50 burnt pages. While it is not possible to receive unique items from an extra supply crate, the player may still receive a dragon axe. Tomes of fire may also be exchanged for 250 burnt pages. It is recommended for ironmen to keep 3 warm gloves and 3 bruma torches since this is the maximum and any further rolls for the two will result in a roll for a magic seed or torstol seeds. Players without account restrictions may wish to exchange them for burnt pages instead, as the combined market value of the pages is often higher than that of the seeds.
Drop mechanic
Points earned between the 500-point milestones will provide players a chance to receive an additional reward equivalent to the progress towards the next milestone. For every 5 points past 500 points player gets 1% extra chance to get additional loot. For example:
- 500 points = 2 rolls.
- 505 points = 2 rolls + 1% chance of an extra roll.
- 750 points = 2 rolls + 50% chance of an extra roll.
- 1000 points = 3 rolls.
- 1005 points = 3 rolls + 1% chance of an extra roll.
- 1500 points = 4 rolls.
Material quality
Points earned do not affect the quality of each drop, only the number of rolls on the drop table. If a material drop is selected (herbs, ores, fish, gems, seeds, and logs), the chances of obtaining a higher quality drop depends upon players' level in its associated skill; Herblore, Mining, Fishing, Crafting, Farming, and Woodcutting respectively.[1] At the highest point, low levelled materials are removed from the drop table. While players with low levels in those skills can get rare materials, the drop rate is very low, but will increase with that skill level.
Because the rewards are determined when searching the cart,[2] players can choose to not search the cart until their relevant skills are at a higher level, allowing them to receive rarer materials and supplies from the cart when they eventually do search it.
Reward rolls
The reward carts uses a special mechanic to determine items obtained. When the cart is searched, a drop will be rolled for until the roll results in a success, as described in the table below.[3]
For example, a player searches the cart and rolls for a phoenix pet. If that roll is successful, they will receive the phoenix and the drop rolls end there. If unsuccessful, then the player will then roll for a dragon axe, then tome of fire, then warm gloves, and so on. If none of the unique drop rolls are successful, then the player will receive an item from the normal drop table, which contains seeds, logs, etc. It is possible to receive more than 3 sets of the Pyromancer outfit (Garb, Hood, Robe, Boots).

- ^ If the player already has three pairs of warm gloves and it is successfully rolled, a magic seed is given.[4]
- ^ If the player already has three bruma torches and it is successfully rolled, some torstol seeds are given.[4]
- ^ 3.0 3.1 3.2 3.3 There is a 1/150 chance to receive a piece of the pyromancer's outfit players have the least of. At zero and any other tie, they are given in this order: Garb, hood, robe, and boots. If the player has the Pyromancer robe stashed away, it will not count as owning it when rolling for a new piece. Pyromancer pieces stored in the magic wardrobe in the player-owned house will count for this, however.
Logs
There is a 3/25 chance to drop on the logs subtable. The exact drop rates on this subtable are based on the player's Woodcutting level; players with higher levels are more likely to receive higher tier logs. All of the logs can be received with a much lower woodcutting level than it would take to cut them from trees; most notably this allows Ironmen to get Magic logs up to 25 levels earlier.

Trivia
- The reward cart was originally planned to be a pile of crates (as a "Reward Pile"), but was changed to a cart before the launch of the Wintertodt Open Beta; remnants of this carried over to the live release of the Wintertodt changes until an update on 8 January 2025 removed the references.
