Captain Kalt is a member of the Shayzien Guard found in the centre of the Wintertodt Camp. Players can speak to him to learn how many times they have subdued the Wintertodt, as well as their lifetime and highest scores. He owns a pet wintertoad that wanders around the camp.

Kalt has served as a soldier since boyhood and was promoted to captain several years ago. Despite this, he is not particularly fond of "babysitting delusional wizards", referring to Ignisia and the other pyromancers.

Players can check their lifetime score from subduing the Wintertodt, as well as their highest score. The lifetime score can also be used to estimate the total number of loot rolls earned. Although this estimate may not exactly match the number of rolls actually received, it can be calculated using the following formula:

• He is a reference to the Game of Thrones series character Jon Snow, as indicated by his examine text which is a reference to a popular quote in the show, "You know nothing Jon Snow", further evidenced by Kalt in his name, which in German means cold. His appearance is also similar.
