Shayzien armour (tier 5)

Shayzien armour (5) is a set of armour that requires 20 Defence to wear. It is dropped by the tier 5 soldier at the Combat Ring in Shayzien. Players must defeat the soldier 5 times in order to receive all the pieces. In terms of melee defensive values, these pieces are comparable to a steel armour, while having much lower magic attack penalties and a sizable ranged attack bonus comparable to wearing a set of green d'hide armour.

Alternatively, players can smith a tier 5 Shayzien armour set with lovakite bars, requiring a Smithing level of 93 (and 11 lovakite bars) for a full set.

The armour protects players from the green acidic attack of the lizardman shaman (normally capable of doing 25-30 damage), though it does not protect you from being poisoned by the attack. This effect is increased per added piece, with each piece giving around a 1/5th damage reduction, capping at a full 100% damage reduction with all 5 pieces. If the player has completed the Hard Kourend & Kebos Diary, they can speak to Captain Clieve to substitute the helmet of the armour set for a Slayer helmet while retaining the immunity effect of the armour.
