Brutal green dragons are found in the Ancient Cavern. Requiring partial completion the Barbarian Training miniquest, they are a tougher version of green dragons. They cannot be killed as an alternative for a green dragon Slayer task, as they are all located outside the Wilderness.
Like all brutal dragons, they use Melee, Magic and long-range dragonfire. Using both Protect from Magic and an antifire potion will completely protect players from their dragonfire and magic attacks, and they can be safespotted this way if not standing within melee range.
Unlike other brutal and high-levelled dragons, brutal green dragons do not drop the draconic visage.
One of these dragons is fought during Dragon Slayer II.

Strategy
For their combat level, brutal green dragons are fairly weak against Ranged. The dragon can be effectively fought using crossbows, the Protect from Magic prayer and sufficient firebreath protection (e.g. Anti-dragon shield, Antifire potion). Bring prayer potions, antifire potions and ranging potions.
The dragons will use Melee if an opponent walks close to them. They do not move to attack with Melee as they rely on their Magic attack and firebreath attack to inflict their significant damage.
