Orthacas

Orthacas is a dragonkin who was active on Wyrmscraig and presumably Charred Island. They created the wyrms and lava strykewyrms present on the islands.

Three scorched notes written by them can be found in the Wyrmscraig Cavern.

At some point before Wyrmscraig was settled, Orthacas witnesses a star fall onto the island of Wyrmscraig. They abandoned their current project to track it down, discovering it to be the sunstone monolith. They experimented with the stone and discovered that it has regenerative properties, which they attempted to incorporate into a new breed of wyrm.

They were not initially successful, but continued to experiment despite the setbacks. It is unclear if their experiments ever ultimately succeeded, or if the lava strykewyrms were the final result. It is likely that Orthacas also travelled to Charred Island at some point, as lava strykewyrms can be found there, along with dragonkin chests and a dragonkin skeleton which may belong to Orthacas.
