Teak planks are a type of plank used in the Construction skill to make moderately high level furniture. Each plank gives 90 experience when used in a player-owned house, 123.3 experience when used to make mounted mythical capes, an average of 280.35 experience when used in adept Mahogany Homes contracts (including completion bonus), and 67.5 experience when used to make teak repair kits. Teak planks are worth 225 experience when used to fix the broken bridges in the Hallowed Sepulchre, also requiring adamantite nails.

Teak planks are made by taking teak logs to one of the sawmills and asking the sawmill operator to convert them into planks at a cost of 500 coins each. Players can send their servant to the sawmill, but it will still cost 500 coins per plank.

The Plank Make spell from the Lunar spellbook may also be used. This only costs 350 coins per plank, but requires two additional astral runes, one nature rune, and fifteen earth runes per cast, making it around twice as expensive. This method will grant upwards of 166k experience per hour when cast manually, or 90k per hour if you let the spell continue automatically.

Teak planks can also be dropped in noted form from Gangsters and Gang bosses during the Intelligence Gathering activity in Great Kourend.

A teak plank spawn is located two tiles north of the sawmill operator in Prifddinas, though it can only be obtained using the Telekinetic Grab spell.

With the addition of the Sailing skill, teak planks can also be salvaged from barracuda shipwrecks.

Teak planks can be used for Construction training. Pieces of furniture between level 35 and 65 often require teak planks to be built. If teak planks are used, people usually make flat-packs of teak chairs and then eventually, teak dining tables. Each teak plank is worth 90 Construction experience, so the maximum experience per inventory available is 2160 for 6 dining tables. Teak garden benches are also a better alternative at higher levels.

It should be noted that constructing the Mythical Cape (mounted) in the Quest Hall of a player-owned house grants an additional 33.3 experience per plank over other teak furniture, bringing the experience per plank up to 123.3. This provides a much cheaper, albeit slightly slower, method of training construction using teak planks.
