A curator's medallion is used to build a mounted digsite pendant within a player-owned house portal nexus room. It is obtained from Curator Haig Halen, after having discovered the digsite pendant in the Varrock Museum, in exchange for 1 digsite pendant of any charge, 250 cut rubies, 500 fire runes (combination runes will not work), and 100 cosmic runes, costing 226,152 coins.

Curator Haig Halen accepts noted rubies and any amount of rubies up to 250. The digsite pendant and the runes will not be accepted until the rubies have been delivered or the player has enough in their inventory to satisfy the remaining quantity. The remaining rubies (minimum of 1), digsite pendant, and runes must all be delivered at the same time, as the final rubies will not be accepted without the rest of the required items. The ability to deliver rubies piecemeal mostly benefits Ultimate ironmen who do not have access to the noting facilities of a bank.

The medallion is lost on death even though it is an untradeable item.

The clean necklace must be found before you are given the option to deposit rubies.

The medallion will be lost permanently if destroyed. A new medallion can be claimed from Curator Haig Halen by exchanging another digsite pendant and the required rubies, fire runes and cosmic runes. As such, Ultimate Ironmen are strongly recommended to ensure they have the appropriate Construction level to add it to their player-owned house before claiming a medallion.
