Combat dummy

The combat dummy can be built in the combat dummy space of the combat room in a player-owned house. It requires 48 Construction to build and gives 660 experience when built. The player must have a hammer and a saw in their inventory to build it.

The combat dummy is used to test the strength of a player's worn equipment. In order to attack the dummy, players must attach the sandbag. The player will always hit their max hit when attacking the dummy, but no experience will be granted for hitting it. Any ammunition fired at it will always be lost.

It can be upgraded into an undead combat dummy at level 53 Construction, but the sandbag must be detached before upgrading.

Note that the ancient mace's special attack will restore the player's Prayer points even if they hit a combat dummy. This allows players to easily restore their Prayer points above their maximum by an amount equal to their max hit simply by restoring themselves to full Prayer points and then hitting a dummy with the ancient mace's special attack. This can be used to help players meet quest requirements in Legends' Quest or Rum Deal even when they are well below the listed level.
