A balance beam can be built in the combat ring space of the combat room in a player-owned house. It requires 81 Construction to build and gives 1,000 experience when built. The player must have a hammer and a saw in their inventory to build it.

Using a pugel stick from an extra weapons rack, a player must climb onto the balance beam and use the pugel stick to try and knock the opponent down. The first person to fall off the balance beam is considered the loser.
