A mounted mythical cape can be built in the guild trophy space of the quest hall in a player-owned house. It requires 47 Construction and Dragon Slayer II completed to build and gives 370 experience when built. The player must have a hammer and a saw in their inventory to build it.

The mounted cape can be used to teleport to the Myths' Guild. In addition, mounted mythical capes provide 123 experience per teak plank, while other furniture provides 90 per teak plank. Due to this, building mounted mythical capes is often used as a cheap way to quickly level Construction. For example, if the player needs 90,000 experience for the next level, this would require 1000 teak planks to be used for regular teak furniture, by building mounted capes the player can achieve the next level with only 732 planks, effectively saving 26.8% in total planks (and cost). At maximum efficiency, players can gain approximately 430,000 experience per hour, but it is possible to achieve higher experience rates building other furniture. Note: When the mounted cape object is destroyed, the cape is returned. If the quest hall room is removed with the mounted cape object still in place, the mythical cape will not be returned.

• Despite requiring level 47 Construction to build, players require level 50 Construction (which cannot be achieved by boosting) to complete Dragon Slayer II in order to access the Myths' Guild to purchase the mythical cape used in building the mounted cape.
