A reward casket (hard) is received after completing the final clue of a hard clue scroll trail, and contains the final reward for the trail. Opening the reward casket is required for treasure trail completion to be tracked on the HiScores and collection log.

The player can possess unlimited amounts of reward caskets up to the stack limit. Players are eligible to receive more clue scrolls regardless of how many reward caskets are in the player's possession.

Rewards

Hard clues generate a minimum of 4 rewards and a maximum of 6, granting an average of 5 rewards per casket. The rewards consist of generic items, shared treasure trail items, and items that are unique for hard clues. Additionally, players have a 1/15 chance of receiving a master clue scroll upon opening a hard casket. On average, it will take 5484 reward caskets to obtain all the (non-mega-rare) unique drops specific to hard clues (not including drops shared by other clue tiers).

All droprates are confirmed by Mod Tide.^[1]^[2] The listed rarities are per roll.

Hard clue uniques

The droprate for any hard clue unique (excluding those in the Mega-Rare Table) is 1/12.5 per reward roll. With an average of 5 rolls, the probability to receive a clue scroll unique item from a hard casket is 5x 1/12.5, which becomes 1/2.93 or 34.1%.

^ Clue scrolls will drop as scroll boxes after the completion of X Marks the Spot.
^ Players will always receive a minor hard scroll case on their 50th completed hard clue scroll or their first completed hard clue scroll if their clue count is above 50 (if the player has lost the item and did not open it before).
^ Players will always receive a major hard scroll case on their 150th completed hard clue scroll or their first completed hard clue scroll if their clue count is above 150 (if the player has lost the item and did not open it before).

Changes

11 April 2019 (Update \| poll)	All Treasure Trails caskets were changed to be stackable. To bolster each tier of clue with new cosmetic items, seventeen new items were added as hard clue scroll rewards.
6 July 2016 (Update \| poll)	All of the lower tier clues are getting many new additions to the drop tables.
12 June 2014 (Update \| poll)	There are over 180 new items available to be discovered by solving clue scrolls including third age weaponry, new outfits and a host of other items. There are new rewards and brand new clues for every level of treasure trail.
6 March 2014 (Update \| poll)	Clue scrolls and caskets now state the levels in their names.

Trivia

With the 12 June 2014 update 41 new unique rewards were added to hard clue scrolls. With the 6 July 2016 update another 8 rewards were added to hard clue scroll uniques. With the 25 Jan 2018 update, Dragon boots ornament kit was added.
In 2016 Mod Mat K revealed in a data stream that on average 13,000 hard clue scrolls were completed every day.
