Rune platelegs are platelegs made of runite. They require level 40 Defence to wear. Rune platelegs are identical in function to the rune plateskirt, but is 1kg heavier. Players may receive these from the crystal chest if they are a body type A character.
About and uses
They can be created with the Smithing skill by using 3 runite bars and a hammer on an anvil; this requires level 99 Smithing and yields 225 Smithing experience.
Along with the rune plateskirt and two-handed sword, this is the best bar-per-alch item in the game. If smithing for money, rune platelegs, plateskirt and two-handed sword will give the best value for each bar.
They can also be put into the nest found on top of the Aldarin windmill in Varlamore in order to get a runite bar.
