Cotton trawling nets are a type of trawling net that can be built on a boat to be used in deep sea trawling. It can be built at the corresponding facility hotspot, requiring level 84 Sailing and 73 Construction, granting 1,289 Construction experience.

Cotton trawling nets can fish at all depths, and can catch up to five fish per action. Additionally, only one trawling net can be built on a raft and skiff, while a sloop allows two. Cotton trawling nets can hold up to 250 fish at once, at which point it needs to be emptied into an inventory or the cargo hold. Multiple nets on the same boat share their storage.

Crewmates with at least level 4 Deckhandiness can be assigned to operate the trawling net, as long as the player has the required Sailing level. As such, players who used temporary boosts to build it must maintain the Sailing boost when a crewmate or themselves are using it.
