Advanced chum station are a boat facility used to bait shoals whilst deep sea trawling. It can be built at specific facility hotspots on the boat, requiring level 68 Sailing and 61 Construction, granting 1,738 Construction experience.

Operating an advanced chum station will spread regular or fine fish offcuts that are stored in a cargo hold into the sea, which acts as optional bait for shoals; doing so gives a 20% chance to catch an extra fish per successful catch, on top of the catch bonus provided by trawling nets. Additionally, using raw fish (except leaping fish) on the station will cut them into regular fish offcuts or fine fish offcuts at a rate of three fish per tick.

When cutting raw fish with secondary drops at a chum station (such as haddock eyes and squid beaks), it will roll the chance of obtaining them per action rather than per fish but give triple the yield if successful. For example, cutting one raw jumbo squid with a knife gives a 1/512 chance of yielding a squid beak, but cutting three at once with an advanced chum station would give a 1/512 chance of yielding three squid beaks rather than rolling the chance for each squid.

Crewmates with at least level 2 Deckhandiness can be assigned to operate the advanced chum station, provided that fish offcuts are stored in the cargo hold and the player has the required Sailing level. As such, players who used temporary boosts to build it must maintain the Sailing boost when a crewmate or themselves are using it.
