Sandy paint is a type of boat paint used to recolour the trim of a player's skiff or sloop via the boat schematics board at the Shipyard. Trimming a boat requires level 25 Sailing and 20 Construction, granting 10 Construction experience. One paint is required for trimming skiffs, while sloops require two.

Sandy paint is obtained as a guaranteed drop from hermit crabs when performing the crab dance emote before dealing the killing blow.

• The boat trim description at the boat schematics board, "A sandy beige trim to decorate your boat. Is not coarse, rough or irritating. Does not get everywhere.", is a reference to a line from the film Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, in which Anakin Skywalker explains that he doesn't like sand talking about his home planet of Tatooine, a desert planet.
