The magic carpet system can be also used to travel to Nardah from south Pollnivneach.
History
The following lore is sourced from ballad, dialogue with Ghaslor the Elder, and Spirits of the Elid.
The town of Nardah was founded by Nardarine, a refugee whose hometown was destroyed in the God Wars. Originally hailing from a town loyal to Saradomin, she prayed to her god while dying of thirst, but her calls went unanswered. Instead, the desert goddess Elidinis appeared, and offered her food and water in exchange for her fealty. She also gave them a holy statuette.
The town flourished, drawing water from the nearby River Elid. Some time later, however, a Saradominist priest visited the town, and pushed the people to swear loyalty to Saradomin instead. He was very convincing, and instructed the townspeople to throw the statuette away.
Before long, the river dried up, and Elidinis did not respond to the prayers of the townspeople. One citizen, Jareesh, travelled to a dungeon at the mouth of the river, in hopes of finding Elidinis directly. However, he was unable to pass the dungeon's challenges, and his story was memorialised in a ballad.
In the year 169, an adventurer came to the town, and used the information from the ballad to traverse the dungeon and uncover the cause of the curse, learning of the affront caused by throwing away the statuette. The adventurer successfully retrieved the statuette from a malevolent genie nearby, returning it to the town and breaking the curse.
