Nest (nice)

A nest can be found on top of the Aldarin windmill in Varlamore.

Placing an item in the nest and subsequently logging out or switching worlds will result in it being swapped for a different item if it is one of ten items with a special interaction.

The nest only accepts unnoted tradeable items whose item value and Grand Exchange guide price don't exceed 99,999 (except for the dragon claws). The player will be prevented from adding valuable items above this limit.

Known items:

• Fossilised dung returns a nasty token
• Raw chicken returns cooked chicken
• Gnome spice returns an iron pickaxe
• Rope returns leather gloves
• Dragon claws return an egg
• Rune platelegs return a runite bar
• Adamant scimitar returns a cake
• Mithril limbs return a mithril crossbow
• Steel dagger returns an ochre snelm
• Kwuarm potion (unf) returns a weapon poison

Any other items will be returned to the player when searching the nest again.

• The nest is a reference to a recurring bird merchant in the Dark Souls video game series, where you drop items into their nest and reload the area to get the reward.
  • Trading dung in exchange for a valuable item (a nasty token) mirrors a potential trade in the first Dark Souls game, where it is possible to exchange a dung pie for a rare upgrade material (demon titanite).
