Reldo Trimmly[1] is the librarian of Varrock Palace. He starts the Shield of Arrav quest, and plays small roles in other quests, such as The Knight's Sword, Defender of Varrock, The Lost Tribe, and Dragon Slayer II.

Players must visit to obtain a strange device used for hot & cold clue steps from beginner clue scrolls. The device has a feel option that provides readings of proximity to the location to dig to complete the clue. This functions similarly master clue scroll hot & cold steps and the strange device provided by Jorral, however, the device for master clues damages the player when using the feel option.

Trivia

  • Reldo disappears during the fight against Surok Magis in What Lies Below.
  • Postie Pete will occasionally stop in and chat with Reldo. He will inquire about the books that he ordered and Reldo will inform him that he'll have to look around.
  • A book, which was previously on Reldo's desk, is now on the floor in the lobby area of Fortis Colosseum. This is mostly likely a case of re-used assets.
