A bottle of mist is obtained during Defender of Varrock within Zemouregal's Base, where it is used to bypass a door's security system.

It is acquired by using a bottle on red mist that appears after defeating an armoured zombie. Additional mist cannot be acquired after the quest although any in the player's bank will be kept. While the empty bottles can still be picked up, attempting to collect more mist is prevented and the following message is displayed: You don't need any more mist.
