Zemouregal's Base is a dungeon that is first accessed through a trapdoor in the Defender of Varrock quest, and requires the grubby key to enter.

During the quest, the gates leading further into the base must be opened using bottles of mist obtained from killing the aggressive armoured zombies inside. It is instanced prior to completion of the quest. After the quest, players may enter the dungeon without the key and pass the gates without using additional mist. Players can also get a broken zombie axe as a rare drop from the armoured zombies.

A dwarf multicannon cannot be used within Zemouregal's Base. Attempting to do so is prevented with the message: A strange magical force won't let you set up a cannon here.
