Kanel Fairweather is one of Gertrude's four children. Kanel can be found with his brother Philop inside Gertrude's house. The two older children, Wilough and Shilop, are found in Varrock Square. He appears to be playing with his toy horse.
Although the player may attempt to talk to him, there is no dialogue other than a message in the chat stating that the boy is busy playing.

Trivia
- Despite normally not being able to be spoken with, Kanel, alongside his brother Philop, was briefly able to talk to the player during the 2023 Easter event.
- Kanel can be seen holding a toy model of a horse, a fabled creature which doesn't exist in Old School RuneScape.
- Kanel's name isn't mentioned in the Varrock Census. This is because the census is 9 years old, and he hadn't yet been born at the time.
