- The Dancing Donkey Inn is likely an allusion to the Inn of the Prancing Pony where Frodo and Sam go to meet Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
- Prior to the 25th Anniversary event, the bar could only be accessed on a free-to-play world by first going through the gate to south-east Varrock on a members world. Although nearly all meaningful interactions in south-east Varrock require being on a members world, the Bartender will still sell beer on a free-to-play world.
