Ethenea is a quest item used only in Biohazard. It is obtained from Elena after returning her distillator to her.

It is first given to Da Vinci, who will smuggle it into the Dancing Donkey Inn, past the Guard conducting body searches. After retrieving it from Da Vinci, it is given to Guidor in south-east Varrock, alongside plague sample, liquid honey, sulphuric broline, and touch paper.

Duplicates can be drop tricked by talking to Elena to obtain another. Copies in the bank will be deleted after giving it to Da Vinci in Rimmington. After talking to Guidor about the results of the test, all copies of the ethenea in the inventory are deleted. Unlike the sulphuric broline and liquid honey, the ethenea is colourless, meaning Da Vinci will not try to paint with it.
