The Party Room is a building in north-east Falador, primarily used by players to host drop parties. The Party Room functions on all worlds, but world 305 is marked as the official world in the World Switcher. Worlds 301 and 302 also are popular choices for drop parties in the Party Room.

Players can donate items to the party chest, but cannot withdraw them again. 216 individual items can be put in before the chest is full. Pulling the lever next to the chest, which costs 1,000 coins, will cause balloons to float down around the room. Popping these balloons may yield an item from the chest. This makes the Party Room a popular place for drop parties.

The owner of the Party Room, Party Pete, is a fun-loving character. He will dance, chat, and give you a book titled Party Pete's Bumper Book of Games. He will also remove 'cheap' items from the party chest.

Pulling the lever near the party chest will give a player the option of summoning the dancing knights for 500 coins. The knights will dance on the tabletop, singing a song in homage to a similar scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The reference to the movie is further expanded upon in a dialogue with Party Pete, who says that the knights of Camelot got it into their heads that the Party Room knights were making fun of them.

The bar upstairs serves only one type of beer.

Postie Pete frequently visits the Party Hall. Players can converse with him one at a time.

The NPCs in Falador, such as the bank staff and the guards, react with excitement when a party is about to take place, and will encourage people towards the party room with even greater urgency when it is in progress. In order for the NPCs to start shouting Something is happening in the party room!, players must add items worth at least 50,000 coins in Grand Exchange value to the party chest on free-to-play worlds, or items worth at least 76,000 coins on members' worlds. After the lever is pulled, they will shout variations of Quick! Get to the party room! instead.

While one of the phrases said when a party is thrown refers to "big value items", this does not necessarily mean that the value of the party chest is concentrated in a few high-ticket items; any combination of items that together exceed the amounts stated above can trigger this announcement.

The party announcements only appear as overhead dialogue above the NPCs, not in the chatbox.

A museum of past Old School RuneScape updates is located under the Party Room, accessible by climbing down the staircases. Each gallery contains displays of past updates, with the examine text stating their date of release.

Although the Party Room functions on all worlds, the following official world is assigned to the Falador Party Room:

• The party room was built in response to the large popularity of "drop parties". Many players were complaining about how people would cheat by just telegrabbing the item and making it impossible for other players to get anything. When built, it was just an empty building in which Telekinetic Grab was disabled. When the game was updated to RS2, the building became quite a bit more structured, adding the chest, lever, and bar. The Telekinetic Grab spell will still not work inside the party room, however.
• The party room was originally located in Seers' Village. It was moved to Falador as part of the King's Ransom quest update to make room for the Seers' Village Courthouse.

• A Santa hat was originally obtainable by depositing coins into the Party Chest and popping balloons. From 4 August 2013 through 11 August 2013, the party room was occupied by many players in hopes of obtaining one.
• The museum display with Tim, Crunchy, and Eski is a reference to the adventurers that were commonly seen on the RuneScape website as well as the cover of RuneScape: The Official Handbook.
• The player can see a cabbage when looking on the back of the cellphone in the museum display commemorating the release of Old School RuneScape Mobile. This is a reference to Apple brand mobile devices, which have an apple logo on them.
• There is a usable altar located in the lower level of the Old School Museum beneath the Party Room. It is the only altar available in Falador.
