Murky Matt (also known as Matthew Grey) is one of the Market Price Guides near the east side of the Grand Exchange. He tells the player current prices of runes.

Murky Matt can combine players' enchanted jewellery charges, much like decanting. For example, he can combine two games necklace(1)s into one games necklace(2). He will accept both unnoted and noted jewellery. He will not, however, combine items if they have more charges than their normal capacity, such as amulets of glory charged to 6 charges at the Fountain of Rune. He can also enchant ruby rings into rings of forging for 250 coins each.

Trivia

  • Matt is the brother of Murky Pat, a pirate currently working aboard the Lady Zay in the Northern Ocean. It is noted that if a player who has completed Lunar Diplomacy talks to Matt, he will mention a group of pirates who were stuck for days sailing around in circles, which is a reference to the quest.
  • Despite showing the price of all other runes, Murky Matt currently does not show the price of sunfire runes.
