A curved bone is an item dropped by any monster that drops big bones or giant bones, as well as Venenatis and Sotetseg. Curved bones are dropped at a universal rate of 1/5,012.5.[1]
Curved bones may be sold to Barlak, a Dorgesh-Kaan cave goblin, for 2,000 coins each. Dorgesh-Kaan can be accessed after the quest Death to the Dorgeshuun. The player will also be given a lecture on Construction, granting 6,750 Construction experience, as long as their Construction level is at least 30. If the player were to gain the same amount of experience by oak planks, it would cost them 46,012.00, which can be considered as an extra theoretical value of a curved bone. Handing in bones does NOT grant any experience if you are under 30 Construction.
Curved bones can be buried, but this is not recommended as they only give 15.1 experience for each bone buried.
The bonecrusher will not automatically bury the bone, allowing the player to pick it up. Bones to Bananas and Bones to Peaches will not convert curved bones into fruit. Curved bones cannot be sacrificed with Sinister Offering, giving the message You could find something better to do with your special bone.
It would take 1,930 curved bones to go from level 30 to 99 Construction.
