Artio is a weaker variant of Callisto who is fought in the Hunter's End, a singles-plus combat area in level 21 Wilderness. To enter Artio's lair, players must have completed the hard Wilderness diary, OR they must have a Callisto boss Slayer task (a bear Slayer task does not bypass the diary requirement).

Compared to Callisto, the fight is safer and easier in return for lower drop quantities and rates. Artio's melee attack has a minimum hit of 15,[1] which can only be partially blocked with Protect from Melee.

Killing Artio counts as a Callisto alternative for a slayer Boss task, the elite Wilderness diary task, and the combat achievements.

Upon any player entering the den, all players inside will be unable to teleport for 3 ticks. This delay no longer occurs after completion of the hard Wilderness diary.

If Artio is not already frozen, and the attacking player has equipment with a total Magic accuracy greater than 0, then the first attack that would freeze the boss (Entangle, Ice Barrage) is guaranteed to hit.

    • Future hits while the boss is frozen are not guaranteed to hit.
  • Artio's base Magic level has been increased from 1 to 90.

  • Artio is named after the Celtic bear goddess.
  • Unlike the other weaker boss variants, Artio is smaller than Callisto, standing at 3x3 instead of 5x5.
